When it was released in the states it sold out immediately, the same seems to have happened here. This has been near impossible for me to find. All I can conclude from that is that I have a lot of company in the Gimmick Lovers department

So what is the Wave?

Its a battery powered facial cleanser.
According to the packet it provides exceptional cleansing in 3 ways;

Tingly, cool foam penetrates deep into pores to remove dirt, oil and make-up

Gentle vibrating motion stimulates the skin’s surface – feel (lol) the massaging action open the pores to enable lather to get deep in the pores

Softly textured pads sweep away dead skin cells – skin is immediately softer and smoother after just 1 use

It comes with 2 weeks supply of the inter-changeable pads, I picked up an extra months supply while in Superdrug (I’m anticipating being wowed by it, the marketing claims have seeped in and done their work already and I have yet to open the box LOL).

My main purpose for wanting to give this a whirl (beyond being an unashamed gimmick whore) is that I’m still struggling on the blackhead issue. You never know eh! Worth a try!

Most amusing are reports that the “vibrating” wave has been receiving some mis-use…….. oooooer LOL, well if its a rubbish cleanser at least I won’t have completely wasted my money!!!

Anyone else tried it??

xox

I have relatively clear skin again thanks to a good skin care regime (and no thanks to Boots No7 Protect Range) which I’ll share with you soon. However the dreaded blackhead problem persists… aaaarggghh!

If you haven’t just eaten or you’re not likely to in the next hour then by all means check out the lovely close up of the offending/ offensive blighters below….

It is a really frustrating problem as everywhere else my skin is overly dry but my nose is a rather crooked looking oil making factory. I realise that its not as problematic as acne as it is easily disguised with make-up, however for those days when I want to go slap free I am aware of them and they do make me feel slightly dirty if that makes sense.

I have just started using this…

The main reason for purchase was that it was the only specific blackhead product I could find. My question is, what works for you?
Is there a miracle cure out there??

Thank you in advance xox

Baby Face from Lush

A solid cleansing bar made from 4 natural plant butters, designed to remove all traces of make-up, including waterproof mascara while leaving your skin moisturised.
Pah! I thought. A novelty soap more like!

I admit that I didn’t want to like it, I thought that at £3.88 it really wouldn’t be as great as friends have said.
I was wrong! I hate to say it as I am not a massive fan of Lush products (bit highly perfumed for me), but this really is a fabulous low cost cleanser/ make-up remover.

The sales assistant explained that I needed to run the bar under warm tap water and apply it over my face, then use either cotton wool or a flannel to remove. The first time I used the cotton wool method and wasn’t convinced, seemed like I used a lot of cotton pads and like it was too much of a lengthy process. This morning and this evening I have used a flannel and its ten times easier. Unbelievably it does also hold its own when removing waterproof mascara. I was slightly concerned about rubbing what looked like a regular soap into my eyes (think stinging) but even though I have quite sensitive skin it causes no redness or irritation.

I also love the smell which isn’t overpowering, a subtle aroma of tangarine oil, narcissus and everlasting flower?. Either way it is not overly fragrant in that horrid sickly sweet way.

As for its moisturising properties, I’d have to give it a thumbs up here too. Following removal my skin is very soft to the touch and in no way tight. I am still using my regular moisturiser after but thats just out of habit rather than neccesity. I am sure you could go without, especially if you have younger skin.

It has made me rethink the whole “Lush” thing and I am going to pick up a few more of their products and see if this is just a fluke Any recommendations??
