This is my current set-up when it comes to makeup storage (you can click on any picture to enlarge)

The six drawer unit is from Ikea and costs £24.99. It comes in red, silver and white. Beware though the white is actually cream. It is made from a powdered metal and was extremely easy to assemble. GO THE SWEDES!!

It offers ample space to house all of my cosmetic delights and I have used old beauty boxes to create divisions within. The icing on the cake is the fact that the unit is on castors and can easily be moved to the window should I require more light.

I’m also enjoying having all my makeup in one place again and I’ve even re-discovered some lost loves (I’m looking at YOU NARS Deep Throat and YOU Topshop Bronzer!).

If you’re in the market for an affordable but funky looking solution for your bits and bobs I can highly recommend this xo

Yay for Helmers! The storage unit of choice for nail polish obsessives too!

Yes, perfect for polishes! My nail collection is quite modest but I can see how a talon obsessive *side eye* would love using these :) xx

I just ordered one of these yesterday to house my ever growing nail polish stash :-)

You will LOVE it. Crazy amount of storage. You may even have to buy MORE nail polish in order to fill it. A hardship I realise….. xo

Love this, looks so organised! I've nowhere near enough make up to fill that these days, however what with an ample nail varnish collection, and loads of lotions and potions, I'm sure I could utilise it! Might pop on the wishlist! xxx

It's incredibly versatile. I gave A LOT of makeup away last year but I still have what I consider to be a mountain. Thankfully my step-daughter appears to be developing into quite the girly girly so I have a feeling it won't just be me making use of a ll of it in the not so distant future :) xox

Thanks, I try to only keep the things I use. Really need to weed out my eyeliner stash tho. 50+ seems excessive…. xx

Wow, wish I was this organised! Looks great and certainly easier when you're rushing round in the mornings trying to get ready. I need to get a similar set up sorted out as I'm always late these days!

Thanks so much for your lovely comment on my blog, it means a lot xx

Honestly, I am terribly untidy. I have to force myself to find storage solutions or else I'd just be wading through a sea of crap xx

Wow, that is beautifully neat. I am in awe (she says, struggling to find makeup in a jumbled up box packed to the brim and a box that has seen better, less-makeup-covered days).

Don't be fooled. I am really really untidy. Always have been. Storage solutions like this keep me sane xx

I really must get one of these. Am seriously getting sick of bits of makeup on every surface in the house, not to mention the fact that every single concealer seems to have gone awol (bit of an emergency). Only prob is I tend to apply in hallway, whereas I'd want to keep this in my bedroom :-/ or I suppose I could keep it in the cloakroom…

I think it could be quite nice in a hallway, my son uses a silver one as his bedside table, they really are a universal wee bit of furniture :) x
