Now I’m not just saying this.
I didn’t recognise Teddy. The lady disappeared out the back of the grooming parlour and brought this slimline dog hung like a horse out to me. I just stared at her blankly as she proffered me the lead.
I’m pretty sure she was thinking… this lady is slightly crazy… or about to have some kind of episode.
I paid. I left. With the fake Teddy having… some kind of episode.
I mean OBVIOUSLY I know it’s my dog… well 90% of me is convinced, but the other 10 is pretty sure there has been some kind of weird accidental Zuchon puppy switch.
When he left he looked something like this…

Now he looks like this….
That’s what I call an Extreme Makeover. I’m slowly getting used to it. I just have some unanswered questions like why is his y’know doggy lipstick so big and hangy (sorry.. I’m freaked out). He seems to be in some state of permanent arousal. It’s disturbing me. Does anyone know why this might be?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m actually super pleased with the groom, he has been cut a bazillion times more professionally than at the last place (which I was also happy with), but he is SERIOUSLY groomed, like a topiary or something, and he feels amazing, like velvet…
However that doesn’t change the fact that I am *shocked* by the transformation!

bless him! Good that it is (supposedly) summer otherwise he'd surely freeze! He looks very happy after his haircut…do you think he has that "just stepped out of a salon" feeling? I wonder if dogs get the same feeling as when you've had a haircut and your head feels so much lighter?!
He's certainly happy about something! lol
Aww so cute!
Teddy has requested that you call him "hot" going forward…
He is absolutely gorgeous
The "not recognising the dog" thing happened to me too with our last dog, which was a toy poodle. I'd dropped him off at the groomers with the instruction not to take too much off, and when I went back to collect him I seriously didn't recognise the dog they brought out to me, because they'd more or less scalped him. In the car on the way home, he sat with his back to me, and once we got home he hid in the bedroom and sulked for about two hours!
haha Teddy has never been happier, real spring in his step! I on the other hand am still suspicious lol
Hahaha – poor Teddy. I think you might need to give him a cushion to cover his modesty for a wee while!

Oh Arlene, I did giggle, it's like Muffin when she was first groomed. Did he sleep a lot of the day afterwards? Muffin knew we were laughing at her. I'm scared to get her done again, but she can hardly see atm. Could Teddy be in heat now? xxx
He hasn't slept much, been the opposite. Really hyper.
I'm not sure that I like it "this" short, reckon there is a happy medium.
I think he must be in heat, he is almost 6 months. I want to get him neutered but have to wait until we return from our hols, as I'd want to be about to nurse him better xx
Teddy is absolutely darling! He reminds me of my Lhasa Apso that I had growing up! I love when dogs are so fluffy. Pokey (we didn't name him, he came to us at 9 months old… free to a good home) would hide underneath my parents bed when he had a haircut, so the dog groomer told us to put a little t-shirt on him. It worked, no more hiding!
He's a bundle of fur again at the moment and could really do with another groom but he's just so cute when he's all fluffy I can't bring myself to do it just yet
Our friends have a Lhasa Apso called Alfie. The cutest thing. This is him http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qm8AhMfSAPc xox
