Yesterday was my 31st Birthday and I spent it doing two of my favourite things. Shopping and eating :)

These Alice in Wonderland “Tea Time” earrings from Claire’s (£4) were just one of my many purchases.

I was delighted to find them as I’ve been lusting after many similar ones online. However I was reluctant to spend big money on what is unarguably a passing fad.

At 31!!!!! I’m not sure how wise it is to wear “novelty” jewellery but…. meh, they’re so small and dainty I think I get away with them just fine.

In fact I wore them out along with my New Look Lingerie dress for dinner last night and thought they looked really cute. Especially with my hair down, as you only get a little flash of them now and again! OOoooer Matron!

Couldn't stay away!! ;)

Dinner was AMAZING last night, I had a happy tummy!

Definitely hoping to see the film pronto, may have to be a solo jaunt tho as looks like it might frighten the kids :/

Thanks Laura, I was totally ruined with all manner of treats :D

The necklace is a Swarovski that Matt gave me as a surprise on our wedding day. He's awfully good at picking things he knows I'll like xx

can't believe you found that dress in new look in bangor. i love new look but that branch upsets me. it always looks a mess :-/ not good for the obsessive neat freaks.

Happy Birthday! You look very fresh and pretty and lovely in that dress and 31 is no age.

I nearly bought a Mad Hatter ring the other day, but realised I'd probably rip my finger off when I inevitably caught it in something :-P

Great dress, you look amazing! And I love the earrings. Keep wearing novelty jewellery as long as you like! I'll be 31 next month and I certainly don't intend giving it up just yet.

You look gorgeous! I really like that dress on you, I saw it in store yesterday and thought it looked awful but obviously it needs to be tried on! x

Totally! I'm dubious about anything flesh coloured as well in case in makes me look like a Sumo Wrestler, but its definitely way better on than on the hanger xx

Love the earrings. They're so cute. My other half is laughing at me here asking me what age I am,, so I'm saying "But she's 31!" (I'm 30 by the way) Speaking of which, happy belated birthday birthday, and great to see you back :)

The earrings are super-cute and that dress is gorgeous! Its a slightly inappropriate comment (although when do I say anything else) but the dress makes your boobs look fab! lol
