Sometimes I’m so busy talking about new products that I forget the oldie goldies that never leave my make-up bag. One such product is Rimmel’s Vinyl Gloss in Snog.  I’ve owned and frequently re-purchased this since I was at least 20 *sobs at lost youth*

snog

Isn’t it an awful name tho?….  I’m far from prudish but when someone asks me what gloss I’m wearing I literally shrivel at the thought of declaring that it is in fact “snog”.

Once you get past the shit name this really is a winner of a lip gloss, and quite unique in the current drugstore market. I’m all for a bit of glitter in my cosmetics but it’s really really overdone right now. This does have subtle shimmer but it is very finely milled.

On the lip you’ll notice the lovely rose hue and slick finish before any glitter.

snogswatch

It’s also very “snog” friendly in that it’s probably the least sticky lip gloss I’ve ever come across. The husband approves.

Of course the low level of stick means it really doesn’t last that long and re-application is frequent. Personally this hasn’t ever bothered me that much because it tastes so darn good too. Fruity but not sickly. Win

RRP £4.49 (but frequently on 3 for 2 offers or £1 off)

What other shade in the vinyl range do you recommend? x

It is quite a dodgy name isn't it? Like a low-end version of a Nars shade. :)

Its been years since I used any Rimmel products other than their mascaras (which I quite like), somehow they never jump out at me like the others do. I might have a little nosey at this next time I'm in Boots.

I finally managed to get my beauty blog sorted-ish. Thanks for the little arse-kick!

I completely agree, always been a bit of a perennial in my make up bag also! Also not so gutted if I happen to lose it on a night out as easily replaceable….always a winner!

This looks very pretty and understated..i will check it out. I'm really glad your blog is back..without your YT recommendation of the avon peel pads…my skin would not be as good as it is now. Thank u!

Hi Ally, yes it's very subtle and wearable. I'm so pleased the peel pads have worked for you too! Total revelation. I've been using a few other new skincare products too. Must do an update xx

Maybe a bit too subtle… I love my glosses where you can see the colour and it doesn't look too much like a clear gloss. I agree about your comment on glittery gloss, its too overdone these days.
