I’m very much afraid that (for this weekend at least) I’m going to have to admit defeat and release the embrace I’ve been having with the pale. I know, I know, I hate myself for being so weak too!
In my pitiful defence I’m attending an all ladies Tweetup on Friday night, and although I was intending to go down the Rimmel Sun Shimmer route I just know I’m going to be really busy and it won’t get done :S
At least with St Tropez I can do it tonight and thats it done for Friday. I won’t have to think about it again after that, which is ten times better because I suck at time managment (and getting ready for anything tbh.)
I know if I don’t do this that inevitably come half eight on Friday night, (when I’m still drying my hair and generally freaking out about being late) I’ll say screw it and go out in all my blue/white non-glory. I don’t want to be blue!!!!
Look at last weekend, I was out with friends (gloriously flippin TANNED friends) and in the pics I stuck out like a sore thumb. I want to be all tanned and all healthy and all glowy! Hrrrmphh

Now, I can’t speak for anyone other than my insecure self, but I always feel slimmer with a tan, and for a woman that is feeling like Two Ton Tessie at the minute, that’s just another of the many reasons why I’m going to coat myself in Orange Varnish.
Phew! Feel better now I’ve got that off my chest, not really a conversational post… think of it more like a Protestants take on the whole confession maja. I’m off to dabble in the dark side.

I totally understand what you mean! I'm as pale as they come* and recently got fed up looking like a ghost in photos, particularly with other girlies looking tanned and fabulous next to me. So now I use Rimmel Sun Shimmer before going out.
Do what makes you feel happy and don't worry about anyone else!
*After sun holidays my friends used to stand on either side of me and say we were a chicken sandwich, I'm that white!
Lol at "Orange Varnish"!
But, hey, I feel you exactly, pale is good and all, but a tan…oh..a tan…!!! *Sigh*!
A tan is what gives that little extra in my opinion…!
xoxo
Haha @ chicken sandwich
Thanks for the comments ladies, feeling slightly less guilty now as I lie here St Morized up (thought I'd finally try it as I've had an unused bottle staring at me for months now!) xxx
Giggling at your 'protestants take on confession' (I'm catholic) haha.
I would love to do fake tan but don't really know where to start and think I'm just too dry skinned. Actually a beginners guide to fake tanning would be cool? Unless someone has already done one and you can point me in the direction. Might have a gander for something on youtube tonight after work.

Obviously whatever makes you happy – at the end of the day it's not harmful, just wanted to say think you look fab in the above picture and that you have beautiful skin
It's so strange that we feel slimmer with a tan on but it's so true! I forgot to buy proper tan so I have go with sun shimmer (lets hope it doesn't rain), anyway you will look fab and looking forward to seeing you on friday
Hell no Im not gonna judge ya!!! I usually spend an hour before heading out on a Friday slapping the stuff on. I feel flabby and unsophisticated without it on although I did feel quite orange lst wk which is never good!
You look fab in that pic btw!
I was exactly the same, I went through a brief period where I was embracing my natural ghostly complexion and auburn hair colour. I'd even started writing a blog post about it but my enthusiasm waned so quickly it never got published! xxx
No sorry much prefer the pale look, your skin is radiant next to the other girls, and very natural looking.
I personally think you look great pale, but I completely agree that having a tan makes you feel better, slimmer, don't have to put on as much makeup, etc! I feel the same way. There's nothing wrong with some st. tropez love!
Do it up!
Well…. when I woke up this morning smelling like a biscuit barrel I thought I'd made a HUGE mistake. But after a shower and applying light make-up I honestly haven't felt this good about looking at my reflection in months. The guilt at giving in is subsiding

You look beautiful with pale skin. You look soooo much better than the two orange girls in the picture. What a gift to have such a lovely complexion don't ruin it with the fake tan……please.
I know what u mean if It comes to us going somewhere I always have to have some color on me!
Not being a skinny minny by any stretch of the imagination a tan makes me feel slimmer lol makes my arms look toned and by careful application on the face ie, a little extra st tropez as a contour it can be very slimming
@lizzclare I need more information of contouring the face with St Tropez!! Share your secrets!! xx
