I haven’t really bought any cosmetics for the past month.

There hasn’t been a conscious decision not to, but I think sub-consciously I’m aware that I already have an abundance of make-up and can only use/ wear so much in a lifetime at once.

So when I went into Superdrug this morning to buy some moisturiser and came out with these little beauties, I didn’t feel any buyers remorse. I was due a little cosmetic splurge after being so good :)

So what do we have here then?

Collection 2000 Glam Crystals Gel Eye Liners. Currently on offer at £2.42 each.

From top to bottom the shades are;

Night Fever, Le Freak, Retro Chic, Dancing Queen & Shake It Up!

I own quite a few glitter liners, from more expensive brands such as Too Faced, Jodie Kidd and MAC but I always come back to the Collection 2000 ones. They are amazing value for money and the quality is superb.

When I buy a glitter liner I expect that when I swipe that liner across my lid I’ll get a nice even line of colour and glitter. Unfortunately more often that not what I do get is a watered down version of what appears in the bottle, and end up having to shake and fish about with the applicator to pick out enough glitter to make any kind of impact. FAIL.

The Collection 2000 are the exception to the rule, they give a much more impressive pay off, as you can see from my swatches below. Yes the glitter is chunky (barr Le Freak which is stunning but much more finely milled) but lets face it, if you buy a glitter liner, you’re probably after that effect :)

Just look at the shine off these, perfect for all the upcoming Halloween and Christmas parties. I’d highly recommend snapping them all up while you can at this great price. There are some gorgeous silver, green and black ones in the range too (… which I already own… I need help)

Lovely isn't it?! I'd do a wee Eye of the Day with it but I'm looking frightful with this cold I have. I'll definitely do a few at some stage this week tho, and yes if you can't get them give me a shout and I'll be only too happy to help spread the glitter love xxx

I loke the look of Le Freak. I'm not really into glitter liners but I may check these babies out. At that price you really can't go wrong:)

Seriously, why oh why, do I have to live in a country with no interesting drugstore brands??? Grrr!

These DO look gorgeous, and you 're right about glitter liners, you hardly get any colour with most of them…just bits of sparse glitter…
