Today was my youngest son’s first day at Primary School. I’d love to say he was a delight to get ready and that stress levels were low, but I’d be lying.

He was clearly nervous which manifested in a full scale tantrum when it came time to get dressed.  I took the opportunity to sneakily record said tantrum (I’m building up quite a collection of embarrassing moments to show future girlfriends….)

Thankfully once we got him into the playground he spotted a few familiar faces from nursery and things took a positive turn. So much so that I barely got to walk him into the classroom before he was calmly saying “See you later mum”…….. *sniff*

As for me, I dressed casually today

  • Black Ski Pants – George @ Asda
  • Swing Style Wolf Tee – Primark
  • Red Boyfriend (whatever that means…) Cardigan – F&F @ Tesco
  • Quilted Pumps – Primark

The logic behind the flat shoes being if Noah decided to make a run for it I’d be hot on his tail!

Hungry like the.....

and yes…. unashamedly that bed is still unmade xox

On the way to work each morning I walk past the primary school that I went to when I was young and you should see the state of some of the women stood outside. Hair done done, sometimes in pyjama bottoms! Its absolutely shocking and being the bitch I am, I do often walk past thinking "Really now, who was it that chose to get "that" pregnant? Hope she dressed better that night!"

Your outfit there is fab and much more appropriate for the task at hand – not too flash, not too casual – just right. Good thinking on the flatties too! xx

He's such a cutie…

Didn't you know you should leave the bed unmade as often as possible to let the mattress dry out after sleeping in it? Keeps it fresher day to day and means it lasts years longer. That's my kind of good housekeeping!
