Well it’s actually yesterdays Face of the Day but we’re not about to fall out over a little stretch of the truth…right? :)

Face

  • Dior Forever Foundation Shade 010
  • ELF Mineral Glow in Shimmer to set

Eyes

  • ELF Studio Eye Primer
  • ELF Studio Eyeliner & Shadow Stick in Black/ Smoke
  • Rimmel The MAX Volume Flash Mascara in Ultra Black
  • MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Spiked

Lips

  • MAC Angel Lipstick
  • Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss in Buff

I’m really impressed with the new ELF Studio Line, in particular the Eyeliner & Shadow Stick, it applies with great pigmentation and a smooth finish. Zero drag to the delicate eyelid which gets a big thumbs up from my 30 year old peepers. I’ll be ordering the other 2 shades available and I hoping they expand this range.

I can also highly recommend the Eye Primer. I must admit that I was really sceptical about this product, but at £3.50 I thought it was worth a whirl. It’s a thick concealer type consistency and comes in stick form. I applied it under my eye makeup about 10am yesterday morning and took this picture late last night.

As you can see there is no creasing which is impressive as it was a humid rainy day here. Yes, the shadow has dispersed slightly but that’s to be expected after a full days wear.
It actually held up better for me than Too Faced, which creases hideously on me after anything over 8 hours wear.

If you’re on a budget you need this primer!

xoxo

Love the eyes, really defines them well. Foundation is great too, still very natural looking.

Thanks Stuart, the liner on the shadow sticks is a dream to apply, reminds me of Mac's Feline, really easy to blend/ smoke out, and a great true black, none of this charcoal malarky! xx

oohh i love this fotd! this is what i usually do on a daily basis – but i'm just starting out. i placed an elf order last week and it should be delivered on monday and i got the primer. (as well as 50 other products) I can't wait to try it out. i'm gonna be 30 in about 2 months so i'm glad it wears nicely on the "older" skin – lol – i gotta laugh about it somehow!

i just love reading your blogs-as well as watching your YT vids. helps hearing about this stuff from a fellow mom….

have a beautiful sunday!

@Amy awww thank you Amy, I haven't always been quite so lucky but I've a good skincare routine going at the moment with Babyface and the Avon Peel Pads and Derma Full x 3 serum. Can't wait to read/ hear all about your fabulous holiday! xx

Gorgeous look chick! I'm glad to hear those ELF Studio products are good. I've been going to the website, filling up a basket and then deleting things all week – I think I might just take the plunge now. Did you get any other bits from the range?

@Deanna Totally, just because we're not quite as young as we used to be ;) and have kids doesn't mean we can't still look after ourselves and take pride in our appearance :)

Will be interested to hear how you get on with ELF, I think I'll be placing another order soon and may take inspiration xox

@Beth I had been doing the same!! It was only after I watched Oxfordjasmine working with a few of things on BlogTV that I felt confident enough to justify a small purchase. I just went for 4 things initally (in case they were rubbish), the Eye Primer, The Shadow/ Liner Stick, Mineral Glo in Shimmer & The Fan Brush. I can't fault any of them, all very effective. My least favourite would probably be the fan brush but thats just because I have a Sue Moxley Famous one and its a bit fuller, however its still great for £3.50 xox
