The weather here in Northern Ireland has taken a gloomy turn for the worse. Boooo hissss!!!

I’m trying to take any little positives I can out of this, and so today I thought I would test out the A/W nail polishes I’ve been stocking up on…. without looking like a Goth in summer…..

Rwarrrrrr!

This vampy and seductive deep wine number is NYC’s new “In a New York Color Minute” Quick Dry Nail Polish (how catchy……) in Manhattan (248B).

This is one coat which is sufficient but I think one more would take it to full opacity. I can happily report that it did dry in under a minute too with little to no tackiness.

I think you’ll agree that it’s a gorgeous shade with a beautiful high shine finish. I can’t put my hand to the Superdrug receipt, but I’m almost sure that this was on 2 for £3 so bargaintastic as well as beautiful!

What nail polish are you wearing today? xox

I really like that shade!

I'm currently sporting a Nivea nail polish, that I picked up in Munich. It's in Pearly White. It's meant to be enriched with calcium, so hoping it helps my nails a bit! I had been wearing a high gloss red by Bourgois, but decided to tone it down for the day.

I've only ever seen it on the continent. It's all around the price of Rimmel/L'Oreal stuff, so doesn't break the bank. They've a few nice lipsticks, but I particularly like their nail polishes.

I'm a lazy girl and have gels on all the time, have done for almost 9 years now and in the last year I started having my toes done as well, so I never have to worry about painting them. I've got french manicure on both, which is my staple because it loosk neat and I can't go too mad for work.

Btw, I got my eyeshadow today – thank you so much! I'm going to have a play about with it later on, its such a beautiful colour. xx

I think a french manicure always looks classic and great for work, but I am rubbish at any type of beauty treatments that require upkeep/ maintenance. I'm lucky to make it to the hairdressers 3 times a year :)

I love the colour. I am sporting Rimmel's Double Decker Red at the moment but I broke out & bought Revlon Tropical Temptation last week in London, I <3 it

My nails wont grow and always lok raggedy and crap, nail polish generally lasts about 2 seconds on me! I hate it so much, only time they looked nice was when I had acrylics for my wedding and they really damaged the nails. I think I should start having manicures but cant really justify the cost. Your nails look so nice Arlene, I'm very jealous. *runs of to kill herself*

@karen don't check out on us just yet :) I swear its all down to that Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle. My nails never ever grow but with this stuff they are much longer & stronger. On top of that I'm still using Seche Vite top coat to ward away chips. Give it a whirl! I started to notice real results about 2-3 weeks in xxx
