I am officially nail obsessed
After 3 days wear of Barry M Pink Flamingo I only had minimal chipping around the tips. Not bad going at all considering I’m a busy mum!
However I had bought two Collection 2000 Hot Looks Nail Polishes last week & I’ve been dying to give them a whirl as well. There just aren’t enough days in the week for all the colours I want to wear now (perhaps I should just paint each nail a different shade…..or not.)
These were on a 2 for £3 deal in my local Superdrug. Bargaintastic!
L-R; Hoola Hoop, Dynasty
The shade I chose this evening is called Dynasty. It’s a beautiful warm lilac/ lavender, very creamy, but it did require 2 coats for me to get the bottle shade.
Minus Flash
With Flash
I’m not complaining though as it did dried quickly and I love the result! Quite a departure for me really, I normally gravitate towards the safety of pink and red polish. It gets a thumbs up from the other half too.
Are there any other drugstore “must have” shades that I need to know about?

Dynasty is lovely. It reminds me a little of Opi's 'Do you lilac it?', although this one is slightly paler and about 1/10th of the price. I think I might just have to pick it up next time I'm in town
Definitely do
I love OPI but I just can't afford to be buying polishes at £10 a pop. I tend to pick them up only if they're on sale at Sally's xxx
The Lilac one is so pretty – love it!
When I was putting it on all I could think was "lilac tippex" lol, but I love the end result xxx
Have to try those ones out!
Have you tried the boots natural collection ones? They do one which is a deep purple and it is the nicest nail varnish I have ever tried! Think its only £1.75 a bottle too – love it x x x
I love that! Avon have revamped their range and have done some fab colours that are totally on trend.
@emmacourtney85 Sounds gorgeous, I'll give that a look, thanks xxx
@Jackie Avon are really stepping up their game this year, I am loving the new packaging of their quads, very Chanelesque xx
haha, there's no turning back now you have great nails! I love the formula of GOSH polishes, and they have some fab colours xx
I am addicted to nail polish now too after using the Sally Hansen. My top drugstore buys are:
Barry M Mint Green – a dupe for MAC Peppermint Patti
Rimmel 60 Seconds in Pulsating – a gorgeous hot pink flashed with purple
Bloom Kate – a beautiful baby blue (in fact I've loved all the Bloom polishes I've tried)
Rimmel 60 seconds in Rose Libertine – very wearable soft pinky peach
NYC long wearing nail enamel in Pink Promenade Creme – a really 'juicy' warm pink with coral undertones
GOSH do loads of fab and more unusual shades – I love Wild Lilac, black passion, Purple Heart and Golden Dragon. They do a great polish called 'Rainbow' with irridescent flakes of shimmery stuff in that looks brilliant layered over cream colours.
Also check out some of the Miss Sporty colours and Claire's is great for bright colours on the cheap!
Also, I've just watched your latest video and you should be able to rehydrate your Rubenesque PP if you spray it with a bit of Fix+ (or a water/glycerin mix dupe, put the lid back on tightly and leave for a day or so. It worked for me!
Definitely going to buy a GOSH one girls, I don't own any!!
Pulsating sounds like an amazing colour!!
Thank you so much for the Fix+ tip, I never even thought of it!!! Going to do that right now xxx
I have become a massive fan of Collection 2000 nail polish since purchasing vixen- its a deep shimmery fuschia purple
One of my personal drugstore faves is "pulsating" by rimmel – a hot fuscia pink, Its really unusual and last well to… x
@Jen I've lifted pulsating a few times now, not quite got the courage up yet to take it to the till, it looks wild!!! Rwarrrrrr x
If you can wear Bazza Pink Flamingo, then you can wear pulsating! DO IT! DO IT!
I bought Dynasty the other day and loved it!
Grey by Barry M is wonderful as is the Collection 2000 pale grey. Beige Style from Rimmel is lovely and Bourjois do a beautiful dupe for Chanel Blue Satin. I love slightly more quirky shades!
