Thank you Nikky, I guess I'm just having a minor weight loss tantrum this week :)
I'm really pleased you've been inspired to eat healthier and buy a pedometer, I'm in love with mine, which might seem slightly sad but I don't care :) It's really motivating watching the steps clock up and each walk I can manage a little bit further xxxx

Don't feel too down...I've never seen a photo of you where you don't look stunning. WW might tell you need to loose 11 lbs, but it doesn't remind you have great style!

Plus you've inspired me to buy a pedometer and eat more fruit and veg so WW should be paying you commission!

Awww thank you Ruth, I'm so glad you commented. I hate to admit it but I think you're right, I honestly don't believe my goal was achievable for me personally and I've literally been paying the guts of £6 a week to stay at what I suspect is a good weight for my body. I'm going to focus on maintaining too and enjoying my new found love of walking.
I'm also going to pick up a wee tape measure and record my measurements, after all they are really what count if I want to be comfortable in my clothes. xxxx

I think you have done great! I have been reading this blog since you started as I started the same time. I had the same frustrations as you a few weeks ago and decided to call it quits with Weightwatchers. I had lost 23 pounds and I am a healthy BMI of 22.5. They wanted me to loose another 11 pounds. Feck that life is for living. I am maintaining my weight now. And a nice size 12. To be honest I think Weight watchers is a bit of a money making machine. I started using a tape measure half way through and kept the results. I measure myself once a month and its a real confindence boost. Keep the healthy eating up and keep up the excercise! You are beautiful x btw I ilke the boots idea

Very true. WW has served a purpose in that it got me eating healthier & helped me lose a stone in excess weight. However now I'm sitting at the weight I have been all my adult life and I'm not unhappy with it. I fit into size 12 jeans and dresses and that was my goal. xx

Its so hard but I really don't feel that WW is the right thing if it makes you miserable. I came to the conclusion that having the perfect body wasn't that important if it was so miserable getting there. Personally I think you look absolutely amazing at the minute and if you and hubby can see the difference then that is what matters, not what the scales say!!

Life is too short to be worrying about weight - I think its far more important for clothes to fit nicely x x

@Lee LOL "no one is going to pick you up to weight you" Love it!!!! Never thought about that :D xxx

@Martina I'm going to stay disciplined as like you say I'd be even more gutted if I piled back on what I have already lost. Hopefully a change of tact will be just what I need. I definitely can't go on as I have been. Tueday nights before weigh in have become this gloomy evening xxx

I think you are right to take a break, and keep going with your walking, eating well and weighing and measuring weekly to keep on track as we all know how the pounds can pile on so fast, but you are free from the meetings for a while.I was also up one pound this morning but I knew i would be!I do need the weigh and shame every week or I would lose the run of myself. But like you I feel guilt when I miss a meeting I think we are way to hard on ourselves sometimes I get so stressed when Wednesday morning arrives,I sometimes ask myself why do I do this to myself every week!! M

@MsScoresby I think thats what I might do, get the old fashioned measuring tape on the go and measure my waist. Tbh I'm happy with everywhere else, I'd just like my waist reduced a bit as it cause me discomfort sometimes in trousers x
@ams Thanks AM, I have such high levels of guilt, I worry about letting everyone thats on a weight journey down, no matter how ridiculous that seems. But I do need to chill out, I've never been 10 and a half stone in all my adult life, so why I think I can get there just because WW says thats my ideal weight I don't know. Personally I think its unrealistic. I think yes eventually I might get there, but can I maintain it, and if I can't I'm setting myself up for a lifetime of yo-yo dieting.
@Emma I'm definitely going to have a break. My morning meeting doesn't work with the kids off school anyway, so now is the perfect time. xxx

No you wont have failed at all, it is a very difficult thing to do! If you decide you need a break from it then that's what you should do. My mum is on a break from it at the minute as she just can't get into the right frame of mind for it and wasn't following the plans or the points, but when she was in the right frame of mind she could do so well at it and felt much better in herself. Maybe if you give it another few weeks and see how you feel then before you decide to take a break.

Wish you all the best with it 'tho. I know how hard it is. xx

Dont be so down on yourself Arlene - my weight generally fluctuates and am a half stone heavier at the weekends!! You've done brilliantly so far and have really motivated the likes of me to get the finger out and do something about my flab!

You are defo not a failure whatever you decide to do!

Don't be down - you've seen results this week, just not the way you expected. Maybe it's time for another measure. There's always the measuring tape or a fitness goal instead. These are as valid as what a set of scales say, maybe even more so. You're doing really well. xxx

I just have bog standard digital scales but they don't do BMI etc. Tbh the battery is out of them at present as I was torturing myself with weighing.
I might just use the scales at my local Boots every Monday or something, I know it definitely gives a print out of BMI, etc xxx

Aww love, don't be deflated, like everyone said, if you can see the difference than thats all that matters. Also, muscle definately weighs more than fat. Have you got the scales which can tell you how much body fat you are? Cause recently my boyfriend ran a marathon, but his weight shot up! BUt on our scales it said body fat % down so mybe ditch WW and get yourself some scales that give you more information. I do mine every Sunday and its good to have something that gives you your BMI, Body Fat &, H20 and your weigh so you can watch everything! xxx

Have you got the scales which can tell you how much body fat you are? Cause recently my boyfriend ran a marathon, but his weight shot up! BUt on our scales it said body fat % down so mybe ditch WW and get yourself some scales that give you more information. I do mine every Sunday and its good to have something that gives you your BMI, Body Fat &, H20 and your weigh so you can watch everything! xxx

@Emma Yeah, funny the leader did say exactly the same, that I'd see the results of this week at the scales next week. Oh god *sigh* I don't know what to do. I feel like if I don't keep going to WW I've failed. That doesn't sit well with me.

I know it must be so frustrating for you but my mum did weightwatchers for a long time and sometimes she found that on a week when she thought she did so well and was convinced she would be told she lost weight, she would either put on weight or stay the same. Then when she would go back the following week she would have lost much more than she expected to.

If both you and your husband are noticing a difference and you feel that your clothes are looser, and you are feeling more confident, then something is definitely working for you. You will have good weeks and bad weeks with weightwatchers but just try not to let the bad weeks get you down, try and stick with it through the tough weeks and you will do great!

Good luck :-) xx
