Barry M released 6 new Dazzle Dusts on Thursday & I have been dying to get my hands on them!!

Imagine my disappointment then when I rocked up yesterday to my local Superdrug only to find the shelves labelled with the new colours but a severe lack of the dazzle dusts themselves. I went in search of answers…..
In retrospect the interrogation I gave the shop manager as to their whereabouts may have been a little over the top (in my defence I am a make-up addict)….. but she assured me they were simply late and would be arriving in the next delivery.

I returned today and unfortunately they still had no stock of 2 of the Dazzle Dusts, namely Block Blue 93 & Parrot Green 95, however much to my insane pigmenty joy they did have the others :D
I got Dark Chocolate 97, Teal 94, Gold 96 & Petrol Black 98. I also picked up one the GOSH Extreme Art Eye Liners in 10, a vibrant electric blue, it looked so gorgeous on my chum Kelly that I just had to have!

Yay!!

Yay!!

How amazing do they look under flash? I can’t wait to play around with these, expect a FOTD soon ;)

hi- Have you written a blog anywhere on how to apply these- They look amazing but are they to be applied like normal shadows or on top, they look like a good allrounder and maybe nice applied wet?? Maybe it is the name 'Dazzle Dust' scareing me off…

There are a number of ways to apply Barry M Pigments, bascially the base you use will have a lot to do with the finish. They can be quite messy so ideally you want to prime your lid with something they can cling to, cream eye shadows in a light colour are ideal, as are MAC Paints of Paint Pots. For a more everyday look simply pick up less product, tap off all the excess before pressing on to avoid fall out all over your cheek, especially with the darker colours.

There are a few examples below.

You can also foil them on which gives a much more vibrant finish, bascially you use a mixing medium (1 part glycerin to 3 parts water) and create a paste in the lid or on a palette by combining 1-2 drops of the medium with the pigment. This is going to give you a true pot colour and isn't for the faint hearted. You should use a synthetic flat brush and press the colour on. Its also less natural because you can't blend it as effectively once it sets. I love this option for a night out though. I've used this method in the link below.

Pick yourself up one in a neutral colour and play about with it, they take a bit of getting used to but are well worth it once you get used to applying them xxxx

hi- I think I should pick up a few and try them out- although I dont think I would be quite as expertise as you.. I love the Ho ho ho one without the red, looks fab.. Something I must ezperiment with i think and have the confidence to use.. Love the mac paint pots (which I wore today).. going to try some Neutral Barry M colours first and try your advice.

Thanks once again you Beauty queen
