I thought that each Saturday after work I would tell you about the three items I have reached for the most during the previous week. Why three? No more silly a reason than it is my lucky number :)

  1. MAC Lipglass in Soft & Slow – This was part of the Neo Sci-Fi Collection and therefore limited edition (although it has appeared in other collections such as Smoke Signals). It is the easiest shade to wear, anyone would suit this beautiful rose pink with a slight shimmer. I wore it on my wedding day August past and only recently re-discovered it in an out of favour handbag. I have been wearing it tonnes again and if you can get your hands on it you really should buy it as its amazing!
  2. NARS Blush in Torrid – This is a lush coral colour, very pigmented and gives off an amazing lustrious shimmer. It is bold and bright, and too often gets over looked for more “mainstream” NARS shades like Deep Throat and Orgasm. Although I love Deep Throat too, NARS has so much more to offer than just the few celebrated. Get down to your nearest counter and check the rest out!
  3. Miss Selfridge Dove Earrings in Gold Finish – I bought these about a month ago and I am always complimented when I wear them (which is a lot!!), you can dress them up or just wear them with jeans, they are fun and wholly feminine.

What have you been reaching for this week? xox

Well my weekly winners are as follows

1. Vitamin C Skin Boost – The Body Shop- £12

This is a serum that I purchased last weekend to give my skin a wee lift in these winter months and the horrible cold. It smells lovely and orangey and disappears into your skin immediately leaving it soft but not greasy in the slightest. It has really made a difference as I think I'm looking much brighter in general. Would recommend highly.

2. Lee Stafford Shine Spray- Boots – £2.99

Since Boots were doling out the £2 off Designer Haircare vouchers last week I thought I'd make use of it and lavish a bit of attention on the old barnet. Various deep treatments and conditioners later, the thought crossed my mind that a dose of shine post blow dry would do me no harm and this is the stuff to do it. It really did make the mop perk up a bit. I've also heard the James Brown London Hair range is the business, so I'll dig out that other voucher some day this week and give it a lash (Jack, never, never say no)

3. Pavolar-D. All good chemists.

Now, I bet you are wondering what new fangled, medical sounding beauty treatment this is, well sorry to disappoint but its actually a cough mixture! I have been coughing like I've been on 40 a day this past week and it is not only extremely irritating but also embarrassing when your job very much involves talking to people all day! So I've been necking this stuff like a wee'un with a bottle of Calpol. Seems to be calming the horrific hacking down anyway.

So there you have it! not strictly 'beauty' wonders but its been a tough week!

Oh I wouldn't say that, after all if you're not coughing so much its making you spew, then you're bound to look prettier :)

I have two of those haircare £2 off thingymajigs, must invest. Although saying that my barnet is so short now it doesn't need quite the same TLC!

Vitamin C Boost sounds promising, I will put that on my list of future buys. I have to say though (touching wood) that I have had the most amazing skin turn around since using my Lush Baby Face, I'm really still in shock and convinced it can't be just down to this product, but I haven't changed anything else, and my skin is COMPLETELY zit free for a change. Next week will be the big test though as that time of the month wages war

Oh I'm so going to get some of it then, despite my somewhat mixed review of Lush I'm willing to try anything any number of times! Things have improved considerably improved on the skin front since I got the skin boost, but I'm sure this would only enhance it further. Cold weather and central heating do not help the situation!
