I had my job interview yesterday for a MUA position within one of Belfast’s biggest department stores. It was at 4pm and I arrived with ten minutes or so to spare. Felt cool, calm and collected, until we all sat down (man and woman on panel), and then I lost all ability to a) create saliva and b) act cool.

I am not normally the type of person to be phased by interviews and have a “what will be, will be” attitude towards them. I think the problem is that this job is perfect for me and as they showed me around and told me what I would be doing on a daily basis I allowed myself to dream it was a done deal… ooops

They seemed to like me (lets be honest, how do you ever REALLY know) and I think it went reasonably well, I’m sure they make allowances for nerves, but I won’t know anything until after the closing date which is December 2nd. So for now I just have to sit tight and cross my fingers. If I do get it I will be sent to London for 4 days intensive training, all expenses paid. Bonus!

Tonight I have my course at college, we are starting our 1920′s make-up look, so no doubt I’ll post a practice of that in the next few days. We also get to see and pick out the best of our bridal photo shoot for our portfolios. I’m hoping I have at least one really super pic, and I’ll be happy xox

You could get a makeover every week, once I got to know all the other counter girls, we could just send you round a different one each week. You'd be set for the guts of six months :)
